Every perception of the true meaning of the painting is correct. I presented the artwork without any description and title because I saw how the people surrounding me gave the painting their own meaning, and I found beauty in it. Anyway, I think it is also nice to show you guys the story behind this painting.
I started to create this painting with my heart broken, confused and with impotence. I imagined love as a line where you wait for your turn, and I saw myself waiting for so long. Furthermore, I thought the aim of the line was to get through the door, but I was wrong. Then I realised on how years pass I saw how unnecessary was the line, I just had to get out and walk, walk without any direction. That's why the old man in the painting is facing the opposite way of the line, meaning that experience and years make you reflect on the meaning of the line. The people that form the line are people with different ages, genders, races and religions, as love is for everyone. I left a white space on top of the canvas, meaning the undercover, everything that we still need to learn from love.
Although I got to that conclusion, I can't avoid sometimes to desire to be back in the line. In every love adventure I'm in, I learn more about myself, about who it's good for me and what's love for me.
As love is different for everyone, I wanted this painting to be different for everyone, that's why in this occasion I didn't put the meaning at first.
